DEATH SCENES II
It's time for the 2nd annual Death Scene exercise. Some of you may remember the previous Death Scene exercise, which was turned into a quiz by allowing readers to guess how the character in each scene met his/her demise.
We'll be using the same instructions. Note the low word count; this is to make the matching game less tedious, and to reduce the chances the correct answers will be too obvious. Only those of 150 or fewer words will be used.
Does someone die on-screen in your book or story? Find the exact sentence in which the death occurs. That's the last sentence of your submission. Your complete submission is a passage from your book of up to 150 words, ending with the previously chosen last sentence.
No one dies in your writings? Feel free to write a 150 (or fewer) word passage ending with a death.
Deadline: Sunday morning, 9 AM eastern. You may email or send as a comment to this post.
