This cartoon has been disturbing my night ever since I saw it. That's a recursion. So shouldn't the caption be "Infinitely Funny" ...
After all, a recursion is an infinite series and not an eternal series even though if you wanted to count the elements in an infinite series, you would have to count for all eternity.
The trouble with "infinitely" is that it has one more letter than "eternally," making it harder to squeeze in once the pictures get smaller than the head of a pin. Nonetheless, in the interest of helping Dave get to sleep tonight, I've made the change.
You're a class act, endlessly so.
It works better for me with "infinitely" too.
