And the Evie goes to . . .

At the Academy Awards it takes three hours to get to the three categories you care about. The Evil Editor Film Academy Awards show lasts less than six minutes, even though we show the entire films of the three winners. You can watch the EE Awards starting at the same time the Oscar telecast begins, and then tune into the Oscars, and the winner of the Best Gaffer award hasn't even finished thanking all the people who were remotely connected to his career or his life, people he had to step all over to get where he is today.

The winning actor and actress were chosen by members of the EE Academy, while the best picture was chosen by a vote of all minions.

Living proof that it's possible to celebrate the very best in cinema without hiring Brad Pitt for the afternoon.

So much better than that other awards show! I'm still clapping (which makes it very hard to type).

Fast, funny and fab, but I was kind of hoping for EE in a parade of fashionable dresses.

Love your awards! And I agreed with the anon choice for best female, that is until I replayed the part where you scooted through your favorite female minion's name....Phoen. Uh huh. I see. Yeah.

Does she know? I mean, because, you know...

Well, Rob, the problem is that, you see, you put yourself out there. In fact, you throw yourself out there. And where's the mystery in that? Oh, you tease with your "I was a Playboy Bunny" routine, you seduce with that sultry Southern drawl, and you bring it home with your sensual, lay-it-on-the-line prose. But your comments -- really, what guy wants to hear his praises sung -- long and loudly -- every day...day in...day out? And that predictably perfect blend of sass, sex, smarts, and simplicity? Ha! You're still missing one undeniably irresistable ingredient -- a tiger.

I hope the Evies becomes a staple! But McK's right -- we need a real red carpet event: EE in designer dress(es). Congrats to the winners. Yes, indeed, we really, really like you.

Too fun.

OH!!! Love that tiger pic, baby.

Damn. I've never snuggled a tiger before. I'm impressed.

Wow, great flix. No dresses but at least a little cleavage. Much better that other long snoozer.

I got bit on the behind by a baby tiger once but never cavorted with big guys. Tell the truth -- does he still have his teeth?
